Does your seat lowers for easy exit when engine is turned off
Hey all, I notice that in my cousin’s ES, the driver seat will lower itself and the steering wheel will retract all the way when the engine is turned off and this helps in exiting the car. When the engine is started again the seat and steering wheel
will move back to the preset position. Now my RC 350 F Sport doesn’t do that. It stays put. Only time the seat and steering wheel move is when you manually adjust the controls or press one of the preset memory buttons.
Is my car missing some an sort of luxury option? Or is that he way it is for our RC 350? Thank.

On every Lexus I have had (4), including my RC, the steering wheel moves out of the way when the ignition is switched off. If your steering wheel is not doing this, something is wrong.
The seat is a different story. I have not had a Lexus whose driver's seat moved like the steering wheel does. I know that this is a feature on some cars, and it may be a feature on some Lexus models, but not the RC, the RX or the two SC cars I have had.
I set button #3 to move the seat back and down so I can have it do that if I want; set #1 for your position and sync it to the key fob that you use, and it will return to that position when you enter the car. You can find a post describing how to do this elsewhere on this forum.
So: your car is not missing the seat feature, but the steering wheel in your car is not working correctly (unless your normal driving position is to have the steering wheel all the way up and retracted).

Thanks for the reply. I will double check my steering wheel as i think you’re right, i do drive with the steering pretty much fully retracted. Using the memory buttons to get the seat to lower and go back for easy exit is a great idea. Thanks!

The seat doesn't have a luxury exit. What I do is I program the seat and the steering wheel exiting and my preferred seat/steering wheel distance. Yes, I have to press every time I sit and before I exit. Takes 2 secs.

My steering wheel is working correctly. I played around a little bit with the memory seat and have set memory 1 for driving and memory 3 for existing. I’ve also set my remote key to recall my driving posistion. Thanks.
