This is driving me mad , i have all albums tagged with cover art on usb mem stick
gracenote turned off

some albums show cover art , some show nothing , some show random pic of artist which is not tagged in songs

and download could not be done keeps popping up , what on earth is my car wanting to download

my phone is connected and setup for net sharing fine

any help guys, its driving me nuts

I have never used these features, however, I do have good understating of software issues in general.
I'd explore to see if the album art that shows, vs doesn't show is different in some way.
File type GIF, JPG etc.
File size: Maybe the big ones can't be displayed
Image size: Head unit may require very specific size. Square vs rectangle. Precise size etc.
Could some of the cover art be links to online content, vs content stored locally? Causing head unit to try to download it or refresh it.

Deepening on how you created your usb stick and downloaded the art, all of the above could be irrelevant. Maybe the same tool downloads it all so there is no reason to think individual items could be different.
Just troubleshooting I'd do on any system with the behavior you describe. Not car specific.

ok things i have tried so far without luck

diff usb / formatted

changing folder names, cover art to a copy of artwork that works on other artists, changing tagged artist name,
eg bruno mars shows a gracenote pic of bruno mars with gracenote on or off

all mp3 tracks have been tagged with mediamonkey to include cover art, i have verified tagged image with different software

its like it using gracenote pic wven with gracenote off

anyone got any ideas - driving me crazy (some albums work fine) - all albums are in seperate folders

There's two gracennote settings, one for iphone/ipod, one for USB. Makes sure you disabled the gracenote for USB.

To have an easy search and an optimum ranking, it is important to create a directory by album which will be named "Artist-Name Album" in this directory name the titles "#track-Title" it allows to keep the order of the album and to have a correct reading display. Regarding the cover, integrate into each MP3 but avoiding large images, the best (after testing) is 320X320. It does not weigh heavily and is displayed very well on the screen. Finally, do not save the TAG in 2.4 format, stay at 2.3 if the software requests it. Otherwise there may be display problems. In the menu, deactivate the Gracetone disc and cover pocket. It should work without any problem.
You can use ID3-TagIt3 or MP3Tag software which are free. It is a fastidious opération but with results.

I checked in a manual with menu in English as, of course, mine is in French and literal translation is not clear I confirm, keep active only USB display cover art and deactivate Disk, Gracenote and Ipod item
