2016 RC350 F Sport Wheel bearing issue
Hello,
Recently someone from my family drove my car and went over a pothole and it was pretty bad. Every time I drive the car and go above 50+ MPH, the car starts to vibrate and I got it checked out. The wheel bearing needs to be replaced on the right front and lexus quoted me $850. Is that too much? Or is there a cheaper alternative?
Thank you

$850 is a bit much. It should only take about an hour labor + parts, and most lexus dealerships charge anywhere from $150 to $175 per hour for labor. Most shops hover around $85 to $120. Whole cost of replacement bearing should only be around $5-600

ive never seen a wheel bearing go bad on a brand new car from a pothole. im more likely to think your alignment or wheel balancing got messed up. check for a bubble on the inside of the tire tread or wall. it just doesnt seem like a wheel bearing has gone bad. (no screeching, grinding, or resistance on that side?)
