Default New here...looking at buying a used RC Fsport

Hello, I've lurked here a little bit for the last month. I am in the market for a used RC Fsport. I did a lot of research on the cars and went to look at several at a local dealership so I knew what they look like in person. I put a lot of mileage on a vehicle per year (30K+). I am set on the white or gray exterior with playa or stratus gray interior. I like or prefer most of the options available in the car but not required. I prefer to buy from a Lexus dealer to get the extended power train warranty for being a cert used Lexus. 1 owner, clear car fax and NO auctions. Maybe I am too picky??? All of those specifics and it really narrows what is available around me within 500 miles and I am willing to drive that far for the right car.

A couple of questions for RC350 Fsport owners.

1. Has anyone replaced their rear rims with news ones the same as the front to have same tire / rim sizes for tire rotations? (even if I can only do front to rear...is better than notta)

2. Anyone found NON directional (able to do 4 tire rotation) tires that fit the front rims? which ones and how did you like them?

3. When are the 2018 models coming out? I was hoping to leverage the used car price better when the news ones hit the lot...

The only car I have found that fits my criteria is a Gray 2015 w/ 15,500 miles. It has all the other options I wanted. The dealer is wanting the high end for a cert used. They are asking $43,900. That seems too high to me. I was hoping to land one for close to 40K OTD. Please give me some feedback if you think I am way off base in my thoughts.

Thanks!

That is high. I got my 2015 atomic silver RC350 F-sport for 41k out the door with a little over 13,500 on the Odometer. Here is one I found at a local dealer near me with similar specs and mileage you are looking for.

Thanks for the link. I'm not a big fan of silver or the red interior. I really do appreciate the effort in looking for me. This brings me to another question.

What does Lexus charge to transport a car from one dealer to another? I have found a couple I like ~1,000 miles away. MUCH more reasonable on the price compared to the local guys.

Speaking of local guys... I spoke to a salesman about the gray one. He came down a little bit (43K OTD). He told me that price was good until the end of the month. I told him it was still too much. He told me to call him back when I was ready to buy at that price. I told him I was not interested in that price and he could call me by the end of the month if he wants to sell the car...if he lowers the price. :-) now we wait.....

That sounds like a question for your local dealer.

Google "Auto Transport Companies" and specify the weight/value/distance and covered or open trailer...

the used rc350 market is incredibly weird right now. imo, it's absolutely not worth getting a used one unless you stole it. i was in a similar position as you and all of the used rc350s were around 40k. i got a new '16 model fully loaded in March for under 40k before TTL. i know you're looking for 40k otd, but at that price, you're probably looking at a 2015 model. if you're willing to spend an extra few thousand for a new fully loaded 2016, feel free to PM me and i can direct you to a couple of dealers. i see white, silver, gray still on lots, but only issues are that they're all black interior and they're not within 500 miles of TX.

Thanks for the info. I believe you're right about the RC 350 market right now. It is weird!!! Sadly, If I dont find one close to me in the next few days. I might have to only look at areas far from Texas. Water damaged vehicles from Houston are going to be flooding the market soon....

I have had my RC for over 1 a year now. I bought it with 8,400 miles for 44K. (USB Color) so 43,900 seems abit high for me. I bought it in North Carolina so I drove 6 hours to go pick it up. Coudln't find anything around my area so i started looking around.

I am doing the same now...looking around the country. I found one I like that it is ~ 1,000 miles away. That dealer states they are a no haggle dealer...which I am not a fan of. I will keep looking.

Thanks for the feedback!!!
