Default Will 3IS TPMS sensors work in an RC?

Looking to buy a set of wheels from a 3IS owner..trying to figure out if we can use his sensors and give him ours without having to do all the extra work. And spend the extra month to transfer sensors etc. Anyone have this experience and know? Thanks in advance

It should, I believe it's by make, not model.

thank you for being the only person to reply. Lol. I did some research and found out they are the exact same part number. I just went to Lexus of Cerritos today for an oil change and to reprogram them and was told it would cost $570.....TO JUST REPROGRAM THEM!! 86 that trash... America's tires feels they could do it and only charge me $50. So we shall see. Worst case scenario going to swap TPMS from the old to the new. In other news, I was advised today at Lexus there is a service bulletin for our cars front brake rotors. I guess there's a clicking noise due to the 2 piece design so they're replacing them for 1 piece rotors and brand new brake pads. Was down to 2mm so win win. Do if you haven't done yours yet. Inquire.

cheapest to reprgram will be 100-250
Better off ordering 4 new tire rack ones for 80$ a pop.

yeah I have the original 4 still. So if the programming didn't work, I'll just swap them out for the original 4. But thanks for the info

outstanding.....morons. I hope they're replacing it for you with an OEM one.
On a separate note America's tire was in fact able to reprogram the IS TPMS sensors to my car, so back in business and fully operational.

If you have Tech Stream it is simple DIY job. Many Youtube tutorials.
I have Autel TP501 as well as Tech Stream. TPMS issues no more.
I change tires/rims myself between seasons for family vehicles. BMW does it
without using TPMS.
