Default Scratches on dashboard

Does anyone know how to clean the plastic on the speedometer? Mine has a few scratches on it and I want to know how to get them out. Has anyone heard of meguiars plastic x? Any suggestions would be great thanks! Getting sick of looking down at stratches.

I've used plast x on it. It worked. It's less abrasive then most other polish.

My Lexus RC was factory order which had less than 3 miles on it when it arrived here in Seattle. My speedometer plastic lens was flawless..

BUT I also have a 2017 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport, and that was leased .. It came from the compound lot, and it has a GALORE of crazy micro-scratches that can be seen on a sunny day when the sun light is hitting at specific angles,

My solution was Meguiars Plast-X.. Works AMAZING, and removed 90% of all of my scratches.. And because I am a perfectionist, I cannot live with a single scratch on my speedo lense; I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALER and they agreed that they can replace the plastic lense with a BRAND NEW OEM LENSE...

So if you want to work the elbow grease and time and get the scratches off, and can live with 10% of the scratches, Meguiar's Plast-X is amazing..

IF you want PERFECTION with 0% scratches completely gone, either go to a professional detailing shop and get it done,
OR CONTACT your dealer and negotiate if they can give you a courtesy Speedometer Plastic Lense replacement..

As I work as a detailer and touched many cars makes and models, LEXUS speedometer lense on 2014+ IS, 2015+ RC/RC-F, 2016+ RX, and all the new generation Lexus cars released, the plastic lense is made of a thin material WITHOUT ANY OPTICAL or ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATING...

Because the LACK OF A COATING, the raw plastic lense get micro-scratched or worse (deep-scratched) even when wiped with a new microfiber cloth....

The ONLY cloth that does not do too much damage on the speedo lenses on these recent Lexus cars is GLASSES LENS Cleaning Cloth made for plastic/acrylic glasses lenses...

These clean cloths are very soft, and the weaving pattern of the cloth is sooo fine, there is almost ZERO coarseness... Perfect for easily scratched surfaces..

Just my 2 cent as a pro detailer..

As for the infotainment screen, I DO NOT suggest any scratch removal solution....

Just search in the RC forums for members who wiped their nav screens with water and alcohol, and the nav screen's matte coating started to FLAKE OFF...

My best suggestion at this time for the scratch is, IF you can deal with the scratch on the nav screen, just leave it the way it is..

IF you CANNOT stand the scratch, get a GLASS or PLASTIC (glossy or matte) SCREEN PROTECTOR and use that... The silicone adhesive backing on the screen protector will "fill in" the scratch when applied, that is if the scratch is not too deep (or else there is going to be an air bubble)... It works similarly to a lightly scratched smartphone screen, apply the screen protector (matte preferred) and the scratches will be "HIDDEN" until you peel the screen protector off...

Exact cut glass screen protector is harder to source, but it is much better looking and durable and easy to apply..

Exact cut plastic screen protector is easy to get, just search on Amazon.com; OR you can get an universal screen protector/laptop screen protector, and use a paper cutter or scissors and cut to size...
