There is about 3/8" clearance, and you'll have to remove one side and swing the brace up to take the cover off. The hex nut is removed from the bar to the bracket, and it will move out of place.

I have a suggestion should you want or have an option to remove your engine cover without the use of tools: Cusco quick release levers.

Default Slight Rattling

I know this thread is a little dated. However, I was hoping someone on here would be able to help me troubleshoot the slight rattling I get during accelerated turning (at about 10-15 mph). The rattling is pronounced when I acceleration in the middle a left or right hand turn. The sound is very minimal and sounds like an aluminum plate rattling briefly for 2-3 seconds and as soon as the steering is position straight it goes away.... During straight driving at highway speeds everything is fine.

Some of the remedies I’ve tried:

- uninstall and reinstalled 3 separate times. All of which have been torqued down to factory specs @ 49lbs/ft.
-I’ve tried rubber washers on all contact points to no avail.

Any and all suggestions wools be greatly appreciated!!! I’m at wits end with this dang thing! 😣😣😣

Look at the spacing between the bar and the engine cover. I know with mine it is really close. The other thing it could be is a motor mount that is bad. When accelerating, and especially when turning and accelerating the engine has a normal tendency to want to lift up a bit due to torque, and that could cause the bar to come into contact with the engine cover.

Default Megan Racing Front Strut Bar

Received and installed my Megan Racing strut bar. Since i was going for a blue theme on the car and i could only find red tanabee struts, i went with this option.

Really easy installation. Make sure you have a long wrench adapter.

Paint or vinyl wrap are options for getting rid of the red.

Default DIY Tanabe Strut Bar

My DIY 15 GS350 FSport install of Tanabe Strut Bar is very easy. I’ve done it in less than an hour. I watch the video and look at the picturs before I did it and I’ve followed the the RC350 video of install and without a hitch I was able to finish it. Thanks for those video and pictures whoever posted it.
