I do not think they will even notice, most of the workers at the dealers hardly know anything about their cars, i always walk in with more knowledge than any sales guy.

I did a muffler delete on my Challenger SRT and it sounded WAY DOPE, took it in for service no one said a word. Not even when it was time to trade it in. Im going to do it regardless on my RC because that sound is addicting, and if there is a problem ill just toss back the stock exhaust.

Im surprised that a simple $50-$100 muffler delete sounds way better than all these exhausts that are in the thousands.

My sales rep told me I could do anything to my car as long as I return it back stock.

Im at the shop right now doing a muffler delete but im keeping the stock tips, its just 3 bolts that hold the stock tip in place. I like the look more than the dual pipes. Ill post video of how it sounds.

I had considered doing a muffler delete instead of an exhaust on my CTS-V, for exactly what you said about the sound.. But I have been too concerned that if something happened I would run into a problem warranty wise.

I spoke to my service advisor and he said it wouldn't be a problem.. But then the service manager who I know pretty well told me that it probably will never be an issue, however, if an issue comes up where Caddy has to get invloved it could cause problems.

Possibly considering an RC-F sometime over the next 9 months and was wondering how Lexus would treat a situation like this. Thanks for the insight

I'm liking the sound of just the muffler delete more each time I hear it. Time to break out the lift and cutting gear.

Yes the muffler was cut out and a straight pipe was put in its place connecting with the tips. I kept the muffler, the guy said he would weld it back on for like $40 if i wanted too because this is a lease vehicle.

The job cost $80 and took about an hr. Also doesnt hurt shedding about 20 lbs or so.

Do you have a photo of the final pipe? I am interested in the hangers and how they are attached where the muffler was. Are they still being used?

Yes the hangers are being used as they would with the muffler. If you look closely you can see the rod going into the hangers

I'm the owner of this RC and no, there are no issues with taking it to Lexus service without mufflers. I have down so twice already and no issues. The only thing that the Lexus folks mention is that it sounds like it looks. Nothing but compliments.
