Default Mark Levinson Audio

Any one here get the Mark Levinson audio package? If so, can you comment on how it compares with the stock stereo system. Do you think it's worth the extra money?

My friend has the RCF with the ML package. I don't think its worth the money. I am coming from a guy who did their own audio, and plan to put Hertz speakers into my car

I think it depends on the type of music you like to listen to and what media you are using, radio, CD, Bluetooth, or USB, I would try and listen to both systems and then you can decide yourself.

I listen to a lot of EDM, hip-hop, rock and some pop, as well as some jazz and classical, so I guess bass is important as well as fidelity. How is the subwoofer on the ML?

I've got the ML in mine and I have it configured so if there is a lot of bass it will actually move my rear view mirror and my left pants will move.

I have the ML, but did not compare it to the stock system. I was disappointed that it doesn't play dvd-a discs like the
ML system in my 2006 IS350, but the Clari-Fi software makes up for it.

Here's a great article on Clari-Fi

While I still haven't heard a current ML system, I did try out the stock premium audio system on an F-Sport and was very impressed. From what I've heard from various sources, ML audio is more about fidelity which can be appreciated more in jazz/classical type music. I will be sticking with the premium audio, it had sufficient quality and bass for my needs.

If you are an audiophile (like myself) and can tell the difference between a 256 MBPS and 128 MBPS song then you will appreciate the ML system. Unfortunately, I don't think it is worth the cost Lexus has set out. I used to drive a 2013 GS 350 with stock audio and it was pretty good to me. I can, however tell the difference with the ML - sound is fuller and richer.

For the people who think it is not worth it. I believe Lexus wouldnt charge you a $1000 for something that had such a minimal effect that people couldnt tell. I am a salesman, all my customers can tell a difference. just my .02

to some people $1000 is a better alternative vs ripping the car apart and upgrading 16+ speakers. Obviously aftermarket will be better but not everyone wants to do that
