So if the RC350 starts at $42, what would you all estimate the RC200t to start at? I'd lop about $3k off that price, right? So that would certainly open up the RC car to a lot more people, expecially those who don't care about driving at mach one on city streets and highways.

honestly $42k for RC350 sounds low as if they are making it a base model...

who knows what production price for 2.0t is... it is easily more expensive to make than 2.5l V6, and it might be very close to 3.5l as well.

i don't think Lexus gonna bring the 2.0 here during the initial launch. if RC are selling like hot cakes like everyone predicts, why would they do that? i would think Lexus makes more $$$ from RC350 than from the RC200t because 350 uses the same motor many other Lexus are already using.

Correct... It will be about a year later after the RC launch next month.

GS200t is coming too... maybe not US, but it is coming to the world.

That 2.0t is going to go everything... certainly future CT and RX as well.

It's definitely going to be in pretty much every car in the Lexus lineup other than maybe the LX, GX and LS.

The Chief Engineer of the NX spoke at the Australian launch that they built the 2.0 turbo to be easily able to accommodate different "tunes" so likely there will be a more sporty tune for the IS/RC, and a more refined tune for the NX/GS/RX etc.

Interesting that when they asked him whether he'd like to have a hi performance version of the NX ie. similar to SQ5, GLA45 etc. he quickly responded with a 'yes'. Here's hoping

yeah, too bad for EU and CO2 taxing... In my country, there will likely be at least 15% difference in total price for 2.0t compared to 300h - due to CO2 tax... makes it a no go no matter what.

sign me up for a RC 200T a year from now, hopefully a 2016 model year version so all the 1st year kinks will be gone.
