Do you have any pics of your car in a different location?
Like an empty parking lot where there aren't as many shadow throwing objects like trees, that would help a lot. Trying to change the color is one thing, but making a glossy car look flat (or flat metallic in this case), or even worse, making a flat paint job look glossy adds difficulty and minimizing those shadows and reflections would help big time.
The lighting on your car is from the top and rear with the side view of the car in the shade which adds to the difficulty at matching the color (the color I used was actually 3 different layers sampled from 3 locations on the GTR image to try to replicate the metallic finish), so I probably should have used the first image you provided.
But like I said, if you have a pic from a different location that would definitely help me or whoever gives this another try....

So I gave it another shot on a car I found that was similar to yours, still a little brown but getting that flat metallic look is kind of a *****. The purple-ish shadow highlights are tricky as well, but I think this is the best I personally can do with this color....
Maybe someone who's shop-fu is stronger than mine can do better....
