Why make a bunch of noise when a 10 year old 335i will (silently) leave you like you are standing still?
3IS is still a slow car any way you slice it. making extra noise just makes it appear that much slower. i'd rather silently make power than cause a bunch of unncessary ruckus with no real perceivable performance advantage

Well.. Depends on what engine choice you have. An IS350 is no slug. Yes, a 335i will still smoke it, but it will put up a challenge. Plenty of power in a IS350 for a DD.
To OP, I have the fsport exhaust. Deeper and louder than stock, but not overly obnoxious.
No, an exhaust or intake isn't going to give you 20+HP as some companies market, but it isn't just "noise".
(If you just want increase in sound, yes that's all you're going to get with an axle back.)

True ! Intake gives 2-4 peak HP, Exhaust gives 5-7 peak HP excluding axle back, if i want to get some HP gains i need to do from Head down to Muffler peak HP not always there sometimes it gives nothing or less, combine hp will be like 7-8 peak hp, if i want noise i just buy noise for fun, if i want HP gains i go Turbo or Supercharger 7-10 psi enough to gain 50-60HP

Why are comparing an Inline V6 Turbo 414HP against V6 306HP ? why does lambo and Ferrari even make their car while Nissan GTR MS Alpha and Gorrila leaves them like they are sitting still ?
335i is ISF or RCF class not middle class like IS350, my IS350 Fsport will leave your 200T like you standing still ! you reminds me of Mustang GT that they compared with a Civic, compare it in it's class, back in the 90s my Supra smoked Mustang GT and 335i like hellfire, Muffler and noise are just for Fun it's like a toy you enjoy not SPEED, you're having fun with Cosmetic looks we enjoy the noise why you wants us to be like you ? we can't be like you sir ! different drivers has different entertaining.
People wants power but they're worry about gas MPG, people wants fast car BUT THEY Don't RACE OR SPEED, this guy that comes to our shop wants to sell his 2009 335i Convertible for 19k$ CAD, why i did not buy ? and bought 45$k CAD Lexus IS350 Fsport instead of 18k$ ? 2008-2011 Lexus IS-F in TOronto Ontario price are between 30k-35k$, if i want a powerful sport car I WANT REAR WHEEL DRIVE and 6speed manual like the Supra, why want fast car and you can't even street race ? track or drag race is for American kids.

Ehh.. Brand new 335i, Now 340, has only 320hp stock, where did you get 414hp from? Unless you supercharge it..

LOL i know Nathan, that guy said 10 years old 335i, read his post, only the 335i M3 4.0 V8 leaves IS350 like we stand still as he said LOL, Inline V6 Turbo 335i makes around 350HP, check YOutube 335i V6 turbo lost to IS-F. this is an example if you under comparison, but if M3 vs ISF then this is up the the driver who's behind the wheel
New Gen3 IS AWD maybe a bit slower but 2nd Gen IS350 RWD isn't slow, if i drive 200T or 250 or 200CT or 300 i wouldn't say a word i know those Lexus are slow, hey i drive a 2015 IS350 F-sport, it might be slower than 335i a little (New 340i not the Turbo one 10 years ago) gen3 IS350 RWD 8 speed isn't slow either compare to 340i, i don't talk or like to trash talk i respect ALL Luxury car, i personally like Lexus BMW Mercedes and Audi ! here some Videos
Honestly i don't give a damn who's fast or who's the winner, Lift up my chin IS350 not a POwerful Car but look around IS350 isn't slow as he described.
What's really sad: watching some squirrel pull away at full throttle and wind out in low gear... for 30 seconds.
