Default Sputtering and Misfire

1998 GS300 223,000 miles

On the way to work one morning I put 1/2 tank of gas n and went to work like I would with out any problems. On the way home I noticed some sputtering. Got home and decided to deal with it the next day. The next morning I decided to try some gas treatment because that was the only thing that made since at the time. After putting in the treatment and filling the car all the way up with gas at another gas station , I notice the car is sputtering more ofter now, backfiring, the car is shaking and CEL is now blinking . I go to Auto Zone to get the codes and here is what they came up with . NOTE: On the printout that Auto Zone gave me, It says "Technicians have seen this issue on your type of vehicle and the most common likely solution is: Inspect for loose fuel cap and tighten or replace as necessary" and of coarse i did inspect my gas cap.

P0441 Evaporative Emissions system incorrect purge flow
P0446 Evaporative Emissions system vent control circuit
P0300 Random Misfires detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire detected
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (bank 1)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

OK here's what I did & it works 100%. I had the exact same symptoms that you're experiencing now & my scanner said I have bad 02 sensors & catalytic converters. 1st thing I did was replace the gas cap. Poured seafoam in my intake & Then cleaned my throttle body with carb cleaner & a brush. Light was still on & misfire. Now all my symptoms went away after I poured a gallon of lacquer thinner in my tank. 1st u gotta burn what gas u have in there out or siphon it. I just drove around until it all burned out. Trip meter read "0" miles to empty. I pour 1 gallon of lacquer thinner, u can get this from any hardware store or auto store. Then filled to a half tank with premium fuel. Now u gotta burn this mixture out, no lingering in the tank. After a few hrs of driving my light went out, I checked on a scanner everything's okay in the green. I did this 2wks ago & my vehicle is back to normal. Lacquer thinner is a strong solvent design to clear & excellent at removing water. U probably got some bad gas.
