Aristo swap ECU question...Retaining OBD2

hey all,

Been doing some lurking lately as I'm looking to get back into the game pretty soon. I'm thinking I want another GS, and have narrowed it down to a 98-00 model and doing the Aristo swap on it. From my research, there are 3 ECU options. You either use the Aristo ECU and forget about OBD if you're lucky enough to not have to pass it, you piggyback the GE ECU to run the GTE engine/aristo trans, or you go full standalone.

One thing I haven't been able to straighten out is whether there is a way to have the swap retain obd2. In my state, every car that gets inspected has to pass OBD2 readiness. Would it still be able to pass this with either the piggyback or standalone? Or would the car run and drive well enough on the GE ECU to make it to the inspection station and pass?

As an absolute dead last resort, I could probably try and register the car at my Father's address in Florida, but that comes with complications of its own that I'd rather not deal with.
