Has anyone that has installed an aftermarket midpipe (Invidia) actually taken it off after driving with it because it is too loud? I know a lot of people have them and like them. Wanted to reach out to anyone who had to take theirs off. Youtube videos make it sound ear bleeding loud so wanted to check with my forum friends for real life experience.

so far i love my invidia mid-pipe + Tom's axle back no drone at all !!

waiting on my PPE ceramic headers to arrive !! i hope it wont be too loud when i install it !!

If you install just a aftermarket mid-pipe the exhaust tone is hardly noticeable. If you go full cat-back it all depends on the mufflers that resonate the sound. I had installed the Full Tsudo catback and the noise was way too loud. I removed the mufflers that came with the exhaust and added the stock mufflers back which lowered the noise..

I had the full exhaust on my 4GS and almost took off the mids or axle back but not because of any annoyance but because in my opinion it was too loud for a full size luxury vehicle such as a GS

I am now contemplating getting a full exhaust for my 3IS

I've got an invidia midpipe with a custom magnaflow axleback exhaust and I still think it's too quiet LOL. It thunders under a roof but out in the open, it's still too quiet for me haha. Wondering if there's any way to make it louder without getting headers or an intake...

I have an ark catback exhaust and am considering doing something to make it quieter. What do you guys recommend?

1) keep ark midpipe and add back stock mufflers
2) keep ark mufflers and add back stock midpipe?

Not totally sure what to do here. I like the looks and sound of the ark its just the drone is starting to become tiresome.

don't know about the ark, but having any kind of after market exhaust will have "that sound," just not as loud...if axel back only.

You will not get a quiet sound with an invidia midpipe LOL just adding the midpipe will be loud. I'm running a custom 2 3/8 inch custom magnaflow axleback system with a midpipe and it doesn't sound loud from inside the car but from the outside, if you floor it, it is...loud...

So I'm guessing that any type of exhaust combination with the invidia midpipe will be loud but I guess it also depends on how big the piping is.
