Angus I'm with you 100% on the E55 AMG route. that is one bad car. they make 511 ft. lbs. of torque under 2000 rpms. however!!! its a very problematic Mercedes benz. so the only way to get the best of both worlds is to keep the best car ever made (2nd gen. gs) and slap a similar in design supercharger on it and start there. down the road you can always yank the engine and forge the internals than buy a built tranny from ipt. Im in the process of negotiating that trd supercharger I mentioned from the guy here in Austin. hes got the entire set up from the extra injectors that mount on the back of it to the map3 piggyback that Toyota installed. ever since I got rid of my turbo, ive been plotting on forced induction again. only doing it way different this time. so does this mean you and I are in a race to shove some more air down our cars throats???

I am a turbo fan but the sc whine has been growing on me🙊. Its pulls strong off the line. I figure i would explore this trd sc bcaz on the tundra it added i think 80hp with 7lbs of boost but the 4.0 came with more hp and torque than the 4.7 plus the gs4 has 10.5 compression so to me it was worth exploring. When i bypassed the boost solenoid i got 12lbs of boost revving it at idle. So my biggest challenges will b gas and timing to get the right af ratios and of course the 9th injector.
I'm in the process of doing this on my SC400 and ran into the belt snag... Lol what did you do to get by the hydrolic fan sensor? Or I guess that's what it is by the AC unit?

actually they do sell a kit that fits the newer style heads but the catch is you'd probably have to cut a hole in your hood. They sell a landcruiser kit for the 2uz 98-06 landcruiser and its for the newer style TVS supercharger,
