Default Anyone know part number for TRD LSD?

I called TRD USA. What a joke. Those guys are morons. I asked for part number they had no idea. I then had them check GS300 and they said that any car without LSD required shaft change although on the Japan site it said, any car WITH factory LSD required change of shafts. I told them to please make a note of it and the guy got huffy with me like I'm telling him what to do.
Anyway the number I have is: 41301-JS401
Anyone confirm that?

Looks like the correct part #. Here is the LSD part # list from TRD themselves, http://www.toyota-trd.com./en/strt/d_lsd.html

Hey Guru, it's the same as the one I have installed in my GS430 and the number is on the outside of the box in my garage that now has the stock open differential in it. Now does that make you feel better? Get the sucker already and enjoy it.

Awesome! Thank you! No, I wanted to cross reference with ATS since I'm getting the carbon fiber LSD. That's why it's important the number was correct.

No sweat. This board is very wierd. There's like 80% the posts which talk about body kits and 22 inch chrome bling bling wheels or something and then there's that small percentage of really good tech info. I'm here for the tech info.

Default clarification

The TRD website states "If the vehicle is factory-equipped with L.S.D. side gear shaft necessary.*7"

Obviously, the GS does not come with a factory equipped LSD and therefore, does not need any side gear shaft, right? Just making sure.

Ah yes, the carbon ATS LSD. Incredible stuff. It has many advantages over metal clutch pack. It will last much longer, can handle ungodly amounts of heat and is much smoother when engaging and disengaging. it's not really that much lighter since the bulk of the LSD weight is in the housing and not the actual plates but I'm sure it's a lb or two lighter. They used to cost a fortune but ATS has put them on special right now so I'm picking mine up cheap! I suggest any of you thinking about an LSD upgrade check back here soon as I have two units coming in for myself and a fellow board member. We will both post the results.

Guru thats cool keep us posted! I thought you meant that the housing , spider gears and clutch plates were all made out of carbon fiber. You think I should sell the TRD one in favor for the ATS. how much price difference?

Difference runs about $500 between the TRD and ATS [legitimate street prices, authorized vendors]. IMO, if you already have the TRD installed I would not bother swapping out unless you seriously track your GS. On the other hand, I don't have personal experience with the TRD and none with the ATS yet, so don't let me stand in the way of how you spend your money.
