Default limited slip for a mk3 supra compatible with a 3IS?

I'm about to get a 3IS 250 in February 2015 and I currently have a 2012 IS250. Will the limited slip be compatible with the 3IS 250 (LSD came in the mk3 supra differential housing and will fit in a frs/brz) or will I have to count on luck and start my search for a limited slip compatible with the 3IS? Thanks!

Perhaps a search in 3IS section of the forum might have the answer you need? Seeing they carried over a few major components on the 2IS to the 3IS, I'd see it totally possible to have the same rear carriers.

By the way, a FR-S LSD will fit the 2nd gen IS250; so if the 3rd gen is the same rear, the equation should be the same for the 3rd gen IS250.

The IS350 carrier is a totally different animal though.

I will actually be getting a 3rd gen IS250 so I'm hoping that the 3rd gen has the same rear.

Cross-reference the 2014 rear diff part number (4130153032) with the 2013 and earlier model's part number. See if it's a match!

I found this page but I'm not quite sure which part number I'm supposed to look for. http://www.lexussouthatlantaparts.co...category=21747

The 2013 IS250 rear diff itself has a P/N of 4130153032; so apparently it is the same diff according to my research with the part numbers.

Which means I can use the limited slip I have right now in my 2012 IS250 in the 2015 Is250 then. Is that correct? Just double checking haha. Thanks!

but this link, the one for the 2012, the part number is different than the one you posted for the 2013 and 2014. http://www.lexussouthatlantaparts.co...130150031.html. Says that the part number for the 2012 model is 4130150031, yet the part number for both the 2013 and the 2014 is 4130153032 (which would apply for the 2015 mode). But then on this page, it says that '12-'15 models are all the same differential case numbers: https://newlexusparts.com/parts/2012...%20REAR%20AXLE

4130150031 is for the IS350 :

"CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY, REAR DIFFERENTIAL. CASE SUB-ASSY, DIFFE
IS350 (GSE21)
IS350 (GSE21),26"
