Default 1jz questions

So I'm about to start a 1jzgte swap into my 98 GS300 and have a few questions.

Its is an automatic setup and I am goin to a 5 speed, in an sc thread it says the auto ecu can be used. But where and what do I have to do to trick the car into thinking its in neutral? I know on the 240sx u run a loop on a plug.

And second are all the Toyota supra, sc, gs, and ls rear diffs interchangeable? On the 240sx they are all the same size but on the bmw's they have different case sizes so u have to change axles as well.

Any more and ill post them up, and any info would be greatly appreciated, i understand this is the Is boards but no one ever responds in the sc boards and this is uncommon on the gs boards. thanks

Hello. Why a 1j in a gs300? You can just purchase a 2jzgte vvti and call it a day. GS430 or ls rear don't fit on our SC due to diff mounting difference. 98-up sc400 or gs400 3.26 fit. and can be used with oem axles etc.

ok thanks, that was some of what i was looking for. as far as the 1j goes, i am on a budget for my drift can and didnt feel that the w58 can handle the abuse of a 2j.

Depending on the power and abuse your going to put the car through will determine its life. I suggest you save for a r154 in the future. 1jz can be as abusive as the 2j

Lol @mitsuguy. Nothing wrong with a 1jz. Its just common to see them with aristo swaps. And for the money its pretty close. Bout $600 difference between 1jz or aristo swap price. Atleast down here in south florida
