Default F sport catback vs Tanabe Medalion

Those with these cat-back exhaust system can you give me some feedback on them. I have narrowed it down to these two exhaust but can't decide which one to go with.

In agreement with ISland350, the F-Sport and Tanabe Medallion Touring exhausts are practically polar opposites in sound. They both a carry significant price difference new and used.

This Tanabe to F-Sport thread should hopefully give you a hand in your decision. There are many more threads on the Tanabe Medallion Touring and the F-Sport exhaust individually as well to get even more detailed reviews and assessments.

Edited to add: Both Tanabe and F-Sport are axle-back exhausts.

If you want a deep tone yet not annoying exhaust choose the Tanabe. Cops don't even bother me. But if you want a exhaust that command a bit more attention then do the F-Sport. It growls!

i just got tanabe Medation install last week, and I liked it. It did not produce a grout noise or drone inside the vehicle much. I have it on IS2XX with F-sport intake. As soon as your RPM reach 3k to 4500, the intake take over, and anything below above RPM, the exhaust will kicks in which I like. Having said that, you might not like the Tanabe because it does not produce noise like the F-sport, Blitz, Bola, HK, and other exhausts out there. If you want head turn, Tanabe might not the right choice for you. Tanabe is not wild in term of sound. It's hemble.

Try to seach on Youtbue with sound clip before you commit to it. Lots of money to waist.

Good luck.

I had the Greddy SE exhaust (only a little louder than Tanabe) before picking up an F sport so I can give you some good information. If you want to be just kinda loud, you can pair up a Tanabe axleback with an invidia midpipe. It'll be kinda loud. In the middle. If you get an f sport exhaust alone, it'll be just a little under Tanabe + Invidia. Fsport + Invidia is insanely loud. Like 4X louder than the Tanabe + Invidia. Tanabe goes for around $400-500 used. Invidia midpipe goes for $200-250 used. And F sport goes for $650-800 for gen without engraving. I picked up an F Sport because I had a crazy good deal and plus I was tired of pushing my car to be heard. But I have to say the mufflers from the Tanabe look way better than the f sport. F sport axleback pipe also hangs really low which is why I might be selling mine if I can't find a solution to raise it up.

Tanabe by itself it hella quiet like you can barely notice a difference from stock tbh. You'd have to really really listen

Same here, from what I've noticed the tanabe is a bit louder and deeper tone on the IS350 than it is on the IS250.

they're both axlebacks

tanabe doesn't make any sound, u need a midpipe else it's a waste of money, unless u just want the looks

fsport is nice and aggressive, also with a midpipe it becomes godzilla

I picked up an F-sport last weekend and am very satisfied with it. Outside the car, It is decently loud, but inside it remained pretty quiet. I purchased it used from someone local here in MN for only $350! NO RAGRETS! lol

Both are axle backs you need a midpipe. If you go invidia mid with fsport its loud and little raspy also with the tanabe. But with the megan mid pipe with both axle backs. sound nice but in my opinion fsport megan mid sounds better deeper with no raspiness but if your tight on money get the tanabe with megan mid sounds good also but slighly less loud than the fsport theres videos on youtube of it
