Now for the important factor I have yet to narrow down, whether it is a 1.5 way or 2.0 way LSD. Back when this LSD was purchased, the previous owner purchased the "default" LSD for their IS350. I've read online AND spoken with OSG USA that the default LSD is automatically the 1.5 way, but I have yet for OSG Japan or myself confirm that. The LSD housing itself hides the shape of the "cam", so it's difficult for me to see it.
I sent a request for information to OS Giken with the pictures that you provided on your first post to see if they can determine if the LSD you received is the newer TCD unit or the previous generation NEO unit (as there were two versions available for the IS350) and to hopefully determine if you have a 1.5 way or a 2.0 way. If it ends up being a 2.0 way, we'll start calling you the Drift King!
so how does this unit behave on low speed parking lots? reverse? any clunking sound?
The car behaves like an open differential when maneuvering in the parking lot. There's no clunk or wheel hop of any kind. Compared to the original Super Lock LSD, the revised TCD clutch disks have special grooves that are designed to provide maximum oil flow and minimize any noise. The racing crowd has also discovered the TCD produces faster lap times than the Superlock.
I also use the recommended OS-250R gear oil which helps contribute to the smoothness of the differential.

It's kinda weird quoting myself but anyways...I just received a reply back from OS Giken regarding the lightly used JDM LSD that GVille350 had purchased.
I'll let GVille350 chime in and unveil what he had purchased but let's just say that things have gotten a lot more interesting!!
Drift King, I like that! Guess it'll be pretty easy now that I've got a 2-way LSD. Yes, I took a gamble on a mint LSD without knowing exactly what is was. Come to find out, it is one of the FEW Spec-X units OSG had made to date for an IS350 or ISF. Though a 2-way, it comes with a moderate "default" internal setup. Good thing is I can request new parts to turn this into a 1.5 way (a little pricey though) or I can deactivate some of the plates, order different cone spring shims, and change out the pressure ring springs to lessen the aggressiveness of the locking behavior. Just more time and $$$ that I don't have right now though.
