Default 2007 IS250 Intake

Hey guys,
Here it am with another question! I'm looking for an intake for my 2007 IS250 but I have a few questions as always because looking through other threads confuses me haha
So...
1. What intake is great for sound?
2. What type of filter to use?
3. I keep hearing people saying you need a heat shield on the Injen and the Takada intakes as you may pick up hot air from the engine bay! Is this really a problem? What should I do to combat this problem?
Thank you guys!! I love how informative everyone is thanks again!!

I used to have the injen intake. That intake is loud and what I hate about it was that it really does suck in HOT air. The best intake would be joe z. If you want something carb legal and don't mind paying extra $, get the F Sport intake. I have the F sport and it is by far the best so far.

Yeah, these short ram intakes are best called "hot air intakes" because that's about all they do. Do I have one? Sure do! Do i think it helps performance? Not so much. Do I enjoy the sound that comes from it. Sure do!

I have the takeda and have been using it for almost a year. It's loud if that's what you are looking for and has a dry filter that's also very easy to change.

I love my F Sport intake.
1. Aggressive sound at 3000k RPM +
2. Compliment with the F Sport exhaust sound. These two parts pairing together make symphony to the ears. Seriously!
3. ~5HP gain or so.
4. Legal in CA.
5. 1 MPG gain or so.
