Thinking about putting a v160 into a 2gs. I parted out my sc300 and was thinking of putting the v160 into the Gs. I know Adam had one in his car. Any advice or reason why I shouldn't. Car will be on proefi hopefully. It's either built auto or v160. Can't decide. Thanks for the help

a lot of that comes down to personal preference......I have gone through just about every option on my car, built GS tranny, built TH400, built TH400 with gear vendor OD, and now the V160. The V160 is by far the best set up I have had in my opinion. The TH400 was great for drag racing, but the 6 speed is awesome for the street fun factor. I would never go back to anything else if I was given the option for free. Just my .2 cents.

There is no thinking. Just do it! I would kill for a V160, an LSD, and a 1 piece driveshaft in my GS!

What custom parts would I need for a v160? Will the big diff Tt supra 6 spd 3.13 bolt on the Gs?

The tranny bolts right up along with the TT diffy. Instead of searching for a hard-to-find overpriced used driveshaft, have a custom single piece made. It's so legit having one. Big difference.

What crossmember would I use? On club aristo guy said that it just fell
Into place and came right out the auto shifter hole. When I was reading other thread it had custom shifter tripod and other things. Can someone chime in? I wanna have everything ready before I start hacking into

I used the stock auto trans crossmember. You still have to open up the tunnel shifter hole no matter what. It's not much cutting.
