Default 2jzge-t GT45 turbo build need reference

I've got a gt45 turbo kit I bought for my is300, now it brings the turbo, exhaust manifold, down pipe, oil lines and waste gate with all gaskets, I'm buying a walbro 400lph fuel pump and an aem fuel pressure regulator and a boost controller for engine safety. Anyone else have suggestions? I saw existences thread and he did it very very well built, but I needed to know what extra stuff he used for the build or if you guys can recommend.

You'll need intercooler and piping to round out the kit.

Then to actually make some power you'll need injectors, fuel/timing control (use standalone, much less headache than piggybacks), sensors to go with....

Once you start getting up there in power, the bottom end of the motor will need new pistons and rods as the factory stuff is weak as heck, don't expect more than 350, 400 tops out of factory stuff. If your car is auto, shift kit in the trans should make it relatively reliable up to 400-450, though if its manual, I wouldn't trust it much past 350, 400 tops

Thanks dude! Yes I'm using an adaptronic standalone which uses the factory harness. And I have a Godspeed intercooler already 2.5 core. I heard the gte pistons and rods can be swapped in easily is that accurate?

They can... Just stick with the GE head gasket.... Or, what I did was old school GE non. Vvti pistons and rods and GE head gasket, maintain high compression for better drivability, spool, etc... Just a little trickier tuning

Honestly man if your power goals are only around 450 or so mls headgasket and headstud kit will get you there with out any trouble as long as you have proper fuel and management. The ge block is good up to 550-600 as long as the a fore mentioned mods have been done. After that the game changes of course. Also don't forget a bov.Do you plan on doing your own work or do you have a shop in your area?

yes i have a greedy rs BOV for the car already and I'm doing the work myself with a friend as well. he has a shop and works on supras. I've heard mixed reviews about the head gasket and head studs. i wanna be on the safe side as far as putting power. id like to get somewhere around 3-350hp but hey if the setup I'm using gets me 400-450 then id be happy. ill be starting low boost and looking at what the standalone tells me as far as performance. the E- shift tranny, anyone know what power it holds??

Careful, stock pistons and rods don't give much if any sign before they let go... Although they'll die from knock and the normal issues, they just simply won't hold up to high combustion chamber pressures - with almost no warning, you'll either have broken piston ringlands and or bent / broken rods...

Ask me how I know...

As far as the auto trans.... Mine has been a beast... Over 500 whp, and the only mods to do that is two additional coolers and shimmed accumulators... That being said, I'm scared I'm going to break it at any moment and am already planning a replacement... 400-450 I'd be OK with though...

Stock diffs are decently strong... should hold up to at least 500whp. Make sure you got fresh good quality fluid in there.

And make sure the diff is warm before doing anything crazy, burnout, hard launch, etc... Diff fluid doesn't flow well cold

Yeah man the stock tranny holds up to 450 with the valvebody upgrade and a trans cooler. The Diff is solid just remember to change the fluid when it's time. As far as the rest of the suggestions made I was merely sharing what has worked for me and some of the other IS's in my area. The only thing on my build that hasn't held up was the turbo I used but now I'm switching to a precision billet 6266.I blew the seals on my old one. We're turning up the boost a little bit too this time around but I'll update that on my build thread

World of difference man. As far as atf there's a few different choices so it really just comes down to preference
