But how will you know that your butt dyno is giving accurate readings compared to other butt dynos ? You could be 1-2 hp off which is about all an intake gives (or takes away) anyway! Would be nice to see some charts :P

Well I got this and cant say I notice any HP gains but it is slightly louder under full throttle acceleration.. Worth the $49.00 in my opinion!

I ordered all new heavy duty couplers and clamps for my takeda, going to install it again. I really miss that sound every day. I also thought about making a custom CF heatshield that goes on top of the existing bracket to shield it even more from heat and just add a nice look so it will look more like an intake box than just an open filter sitting there which I don't like to be honest. Will post once I get something worth showing.

With the hood closed how much room is there between the top of the Takeda heat shield and the hood?

If anyone can find out, that would help a lot! I'm guessing there has gotta be at least an inch over the filter, I don't have mine installed but to measure you just look at the hood line and the underside of the hood and estimate accordingly with a flat ruler placed parallel with the bumper in line with the takeda filter or heatshield

I guess what I meant to say is that maybe the foam on the top of the heat shield is so close to the hood it is 99% sealed from heat the way it is. Just fold up a wet rag so it is 1/2 inch think and close the hood and see if the hood is wet from touching. If yes then try it with 1/4 inch until you figure out the gap.
