Ok so i am kind of new at this whole mod thing since this is my first decent car I've owned lol but my question is about putting in new mid pipes. I have brand new headers and cats in my car as of 2 months ago. I want to put in new mid pipes but I am not sure how it works. I keep seeing pipes that have cats attached, or delete the cats...but I do not want to replace or delete the catalytic converters. I do however want to delete the resonators. I guess I am just kind of stuck since I don't know much about this area of my car. Any help on brands or which pipe I need would be appreciated. Thanks
Which model do you have? I'm assuming the 300 (just guessing since a 400 with headers is not cheap to do hah).
There are 3 resonators on the 2GS as far as I know (mine is a 400 which has 3). If you want to keep the center resonator (the first one, right after the downpipes that combine into it) then getting rid of the other 2 down the way is as simple as cutting them out and replacing with straight pipes, OR, I believe you might be able to source just that section (ebay) by itself from what I've seen, which will basically look like a Y pipe which leads to the mufflers.
This is an example of what you're looking for (minus the built in resonators)

Just a thought, but if you are running headers, you probably want to keep the resonators on, as I believe otherwise you may have a bit or a lot of drone and rasp, which usually doesn't sound too nice on a 6 banger, from what I've usually heard. But if you want them gone, it sounds like you might have to go the custom route.
