i can't see it clearly (the pic is sooo small), can someone tell me what's the tq with the sc? i know with the sc it's about 340hp at wheel (if i remember right, stock has around 250hp and also 250tq at wheel?), but what about the tq?

i am asking coz' i remember someone telling me that with the tc and the lsd, i can already get 260hp and 29xtq at wheel?

This sucks, does anyone make one for the 300. I called TRD and they said they don't.

Great feedback Blair. I strongly feel that the Stock ECU has all you need with the limit of power your system puts out. I will post pics after my install. In 2 weeks

Great... I would like to see them. Who is installing the kit?

There are no torque specs online. the dyno sheet you can see shows the stock HP vs. the RMM SC HP. Here is a direct link for a larger picture of the dyno sheet.

Yeah, this is actually pretty exciting to me as well. When SRT canceled their supercharger line in favor of the "elite" twin-turbo line, I was afraid my realistic high-performance options were limited to LSD + TC + (possibly) intake/ECU.

As someone asked earlier, my main question would be around the sound level of the supercharger when it goes into "full suck mode." I hope it's about the same noise level as the new E55 AMG or the C32 AMG, but I suspect it's probably not as dampened.

Hey RMMBlair, any insight into the noise levels of the supercharger?

It's good to have options...

It good thing you reminded me to address that. I forgot to in my novel I wrote earlier. We use the Vortec SQ series charger unit. The SQ stands for Super Quiet. The gears inside the unit are beveled not straight. It cuts down on the "whining" the super chargers are known for. I have heard both units on a GS and I can honestly say the SQ is a lot quieter. Under full throttle you will hear it but it’s not annoyingly loud. At idle you can hear a quiet hum. If I get one in hear for install I will try to record the sounds and post them.

One more thing... The Blow off valve sounds awesome!

Thats what happens when you ask people that are a master at engines, you get a good answer.
well ya cant argue with that . thanks for setting it straight for me.

a tuning shop will release a turbo kit for GS300, so GS300 guys wait a while.

I wanna know how much the installation would cost around.

thanks

umm, am i the only one here that has noticed the small Torque #'s??

stock gs400's do around 230RWH & 235RWTQ.

with just a SRT chip + ECU i got 265RWH + 265RWTQ.

so your telling me, your supercharger absolutely add nothing to the Torque curve??

all u get is top end?? 6psi of boost and thats your figures??

i have to say SRT got better numbers.

i'm not trying to diss your product, but i just don't see it being worth $6,500. Maybe $5,000 would be more fair price to ask for those figures.

as u said, " NO ECU", I doubt the car will run to its full potential witout the right TUNING.

HOW does a company sell the supercharger kit and not do 1/4mile times????

Give me a break, U know and i know that car will do high 13's.

i'm guessing 13.7-13.9 @around 102mph.

u can't compete with any supercar on the street.
and u want $6,500 for that??? come on....

(u will even loose to the M3 convertables) not to mention M3 coupes.

U will loose to E55's and so on as well.

SRT stage 3 430RWH + 400RWTQ gets 13.1-13.2(can beat M3's @M5's) ($8,500)includes everything

SRT stage 2 350RWH + 307RWTG gets 13.5-13.6 (includes way more than u give, no fuel pump and so on, no tranny upgrades, nothing)

just my 02cents,

just my 02cents,

First, nobody has said anything about torque yet. RMMBlair has only quoted HP and the chart on Rod Millen's site is stock HP vs. SC HP.

Can't you tell the difference between a torque curve and a HP curve? If not maybe you should keep your 02 cents and buy some education. I'm sorry but I get tired of people like you who crap all over somebody's work without even knowing what the heck they're talking about.

Second, SRT does not make or sell superchargers anymore, just a $30k twin turbo. Sorry, not for me.

Third, from BMW website for M5:

Nominal output/rpm
hp
394/6600

Max. torque/rpm
lb-ft
368/3800

MSRP $70,400

Now for GS400 + RMM SC:

340hp (at wheels) with SC, 250hp (at wheels) stock = 36% increase
if we apply this 36% increase to the flywheel numbers we get

408hp

GS430(for price comparison only) MSRP = 48,400
+ 6,500 SC = $55,100

Less money AND run with an M5? sign me up.

Sorry, fellas...

Did you take a look on the dyno chart of the RMM SC? The thing that struck me a long time ago, when I first seen it was that the graph was so "jerky" (zig-zagging up and down all the time).

My question to the power gurus out there. Do all the dyno graphs look like this initially and then are "massaged" into a smooth line by a software that generates the graph or not?

If this is a display exception, OK, but if not, to me it looks like the computer is constantly fighting something. Like, one moment: now, I got it fixed - power goes up and the next moment: oh, $hit, it needs adjustment again - power goes down.

I don't think this herky-jerky can be good for your drivetrain....
Am I wrong?

Someone care to contribute?

Thanks.
