Default RS-Type Exhaust System for ISx50

Today I stumbled upon a knock-off version of the HKS called RS-Type. It's got 4 inch tips with 2.5 inch piping all around. Comes with Y-Pipe, Mid-Pipe, and Down pipes. Resonator no cats. $140 my guess is that it came for China. I'm not seriously considering this set up, but I think it's worth looking into. Has anyone tried this set up before? If so, please let us know how you felt about the exhaust in terms of sound, fitment, etc... I'm sure this set up would be of interest to budget-minded enthusiasts.

Yes I checked it out in person and the stainless steel is questionable. Much like the m2 exhaust. Anyways here is the link its a Craig's list link

I saw that too but on eBay... But for that price I might as well give it a try and just keep my stock setup just in case...

^

depends

spending $140 on a POS while getting nothing out of it means $140 is wasted (not to mention no resale value)

I would just buy it and try it out. Sure the quality may not be top notch, and fitment may not be spot on, but for $140 you're not going to go broke. It sure beats paying $600 and up for a brand new name-brand exhaust. Keep your stock exhaust just in case and if you don't like the new exhaust just take it off. Later on you can just keep the piping, or mufflers and create a custom set-up to your liking

I have had the setup for about 2 months now. I will be installing it next week. The weld are not great as far as finish goes and some if the welds that connect by the y pipe are terrible. But for $200 it looks pretty good. As long as it sounds good is all I'm looking for but will address some of welds if my installer thinks I should. I purchased the ones with titanium tips
