Default Anyone get a defective ECU with SRT intake?

I bought this SRT intake used in the classifieds here. I installed it according to the included instructions. All wiring pin locations and colors were spot-on. I triple checked my wiring and soldered connections. The car runs very rough at idle. No CEL, but I did not drive it as it sounds like it is misfiring at idle and also smells like it is running very rich. I am pretty sure the SRT ECU is the source of the problem. The MAF sensor is clean and installed correctly. Car runs perfect with stock intake. I am kind of at a loss here and am wondering if anyone else had a problem with the actual ECU unit being defective. I had this intake on my old GS years ago and it worked perfectly.

Sorry. I had a SRT intake/ecu on my old GS, several years ago, with no issues. This one installs the same way, but I just bought it in the classifieds for my new GS.

are you sure the maf is facing the correct way....when i hooked up my SRT i noticed if i put the pipe in "upside down" the car would run horribly....and i tried this several times

if the maf plug is facing down, try flipping the pipe so its facing up or vice versa, i know this sounds silly but i swear it worked for me

Yeah I checked that, it is facing the proper way (so air flows into it).
