Performance degraded after installing Takeda Air Intake

i recently installed the Takeda Air Intake for my 350. The noise is just amazing. I really like it. However, the downside is, the car is somehow quite sluggish when low rpm. The rev climbs really slow. Top end is better tho, But.... to be honest, am not 100% sure if the car goes quicker when 4000rpm+. But at least the noise can delude me feel that way hahaha.
I wouldn't expect any gain b4 purchase (they claim 10+hp tho). I bought it purely for the noise. But i didn't expect the performance is degraded. Am i the only one having this issue?
Should i get the F-sports intake instead?

You may gain or lose ~5hp with the Takeda intake, nothing that you can feel. Did you check if your MAF sensor is plugged in correctly?

And btw the Fsport intake will give you a gain of 5hp, still nothing you will notice, but it is not as loud

Obviously go for the F-Sport intake. Short ram intakes are pointless in most applications because they suck in HOT air from the engine bay. yes, some of them have heat shields, but they will most likely make your car run worse if you live in hot climates. Being from Florida, I use the F-Sport purely for that reason. No point in sucking hot air.

Normal to lose power on paper with SRI, but 5hp shouldn't be noticeable (gain or loss)

Did you reset ECU? MAF connected properly? Clean throttle?

i wonder if there is chance that the MAF not installed properly. I believe the engine light will on if this happens ( correct me if am wrong)
I did not reset the ECU too. I remember some forum members here said the EUC will learn the change itself, hence i didn't reset.

I read a few threads abt this intake before purchasing, and i knew its just only +/- 5 HP on paper (maybe). But........honestly i can really notice the -5 difference when low rev.
My mechanic did the installation for me. I was there to watch the whole process. Everything seemed plug n play, so i dun think there is chance the intake was installed incorrectly.

I would recommend resetting the ecu to force it into relearning mode. Disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, turn on, and drive it like you would on a daily basis.

i just tried to reset the ECU. Apparently, same result.
Maybe i should stay on the power-mode to get a bit of response.
