Aftermarket EMU for SRI + Exhaust+Tune?
Can someone please shed some light on the topic of EMU's for tuning?
I would like to run a simple sri, exhaust, + tune setup. Is it needed to upgrade/change the EMU? If so, which would be best? which is ideal? which get's the job done for cheap?...for now
Thank you!

1) use a piggy back setup like MAP ECU, Emanage, etc.
pros: inexpensive
cons: everything else - newer ECU's are constantly learning and when you try to tune it a little leaner or richer than the factory ECU wants to run, the factory ECU manipulates the signals itself and detunes it... very annoying and very limiting... even tuned with a wideband and it would run great for a short period of time, then all of a sudden, bam, factory ECU changes the tuning however it wants and car runs like crap until it is all reset... there are ways around this, but none are proper...
2) Use an aftermarket standalone ECU such as an AEM EMS
pros: complete tunability, no stock limitations
cons: price, on an IS, they require special wiring and the factory ECU has to be retained to run the throttle and auto trans if its an auto car... (I can help with wiring diagrams and a basemap for the IS's)...
The factory ECU will do a great job of adjusting fuel for the increased airflow, but more power can be had by more advanced tuning...

Unfortunately not... What you want is the AEM EMS...

Unfortunately, there isn't one for the IS300...
That being said, I documented how to make one work on an IS300: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...play-what.html
