There is an inherent design flaw in most aftermarket intakes for all cars - they reuse the stock mass air flow sensor which is in a tube that is calibrated to the sensor... put the sensor in a new size tube and it throws air flow off...

Got the code and it was p0141 which is heater bank sensor 2
I'm not sure how the intake could cause a O2 sensor heater code to be honest.

This is pretty well known in the subaru community too. The turbo's make the engines particularly sensitive to it. On suby's most intakes mimic the diameter of the stock maf so, you don't throw the cal off.

..... hence the relatively gigantic intake from SRT requiring the Recu piggy to actually even work.

another issue that affects many of the cheaper after market intakes is their lengthand maf sensor placement. Many are "short ram" designs and they allow the MAF sensor to see turbulent air flow which will throw it off.. hell even the silly SRT would some times geek out if you simply removed the heat shield baffle behind the snorkle tube ...well before the filter and MAf .... that was also supposed to be from too much turbulence across the MAF ..........

basically most of the original Weapon R/ AEM/ Injen/ Stillen/ RMM/ etc. short ram intakes from what i recall had this problem.... none of the other 'long tube' intakes had these problems.. and i dont recall this affecting the "stage .5" 'intakes' () like the Joe Z which just replace the tube from the air box to the TB + a decent OEm type filter.......and yet these are almost as effective as the long tube variety strangely enough...

remember the ebay rule u usuallyget what u pay for.... gotta be really careful...everytime i have to return anything from a bad ebay transaction for what ever reason ... i lose money & time in the end...
