Dual pump hanger, what are ya'll using?
If you are running dual pumps, what hanger are you using in your GS to run it? I know SRT makes a billet one, but its $400 for the hanger itself.
|
I have the SRT hanger and no complaints here. Too bad its not visible, because it looks awesome.
PHR makes one last I saw, also priced at $400. I heard JayRacing and Full Blown Motorsports now offer hangers for the IS300s. |
Does the SRT keep the float to maintain the level reading properly
|
I have one, SRT used to put it on sale every once and while for $350 and I picked it up then. Pricey but is well built and fits perfect. It reuses the stock float, which does work, but because of the way the multiplex system seems to calculate the flow based on injector usage it isn't as linear as stock. It drops in a little less than 1/4 increments at a time, but the actual amount read is correct so I've been fine with it..
It will fit Walbro 255's, DeatschWerks, or the Aeromotive 340's. IS/GS share the same pump hangers so if you find another company making an IS one you use that as well. Here's mine you can see the stock float mounted, I changed the way it was wired so each pumps positive is separate so I can control them independantly. And the common ground passthrough screw you see in the pic I added to ground both pumps, hanger, and a lead to the chassis as well. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Z...0/IMAG1354.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-5...0/IMAG1355.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-p...0/IMAG1414.jpg |
yeah, my fuel level always did that with my current dual pump set up, so im used to the 1/4 tank drop issue....no big deal on that. Thanks for the info
|
Mine seems to work properly until I the needle reads 1/4 tank and then it will drop to empty instantaneously and the gas light will come on. So, I just make sure to fill up before I get to the 1/4 tank mark.

Now that you say that, I think thats what mine did as well.........its been so damn long since Ive drivent he car I dont remember

I am selling my old modified stock hanger that holds twin pumps for cheap, I just upgraded tot he SRT one. The Aeromotive pumps won't work, I had to change my Aeromotive's out for AEM pumps. The problem is the feed needs to be on the same side as the pickup for it to work. On the Aeromotive they are on opposite sides as you can see here.

Adam the Aero Stealth's do work, they offer multiple configurations of the inlet-outlet.
For the GS/IS stock and SRT hangers one would need to use part # 11142 offset model that has the inline inlet-outlet. http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-pa...-inlet-inline/ http://d5otzd52uv6zz.cloudfront.net/...6c4ebd-800.jpg
