Anyways pure awesomeness.!!
you literally dropped ur engine twice.. like a boss !!
anyways still subscribed , waiting for more pics & drooling.
There was definitely water in with the oil. From the looks of it, the previous owner must have had some transmission problems and then to add insult to injury probably left it sitting outside for a long time. Long story short, I made a bad Craigslist purchase and it ended up costing me in the end. On the bright side I know that my transmission should be good for a long time now.

Ewwwww, that trans had seen better days. Looks like it'll live to see another day though! Good work; saved another one from the junk heap.

So...are w still pondering a turbo setup on it? Twins? Front or remote-mounted?

Thanks, that's an awesome compliment. However, if I was a shop I wouldn't be able to afford myself. The time it takes to do high quality work continues to shock me. I can understand why really good shops charge so much and why a lot of shops out there take shortcuts.

Agreed! Reason why my last project took 5.5yrs to complete to my liking.

LOVED my MGW on my Viper Spec T-56 and I had the Orange and Gold handles and swapped them out for a while, positive engagment in the gears you will not regret taht purchase. Also Astro does GREAT work man, good to know you took it to them!

Car is coming along, i'm jealous man, I have the 1JZ GTE VVTI but am still Auto and honestly i would rather have an LSX based build. I have considered taking the 315hp 4.8 out of my truck and throwing it in a differetn shell as I'm looking to put a 6.0 or 6.2 in the truck in the nto to distant future;-)

Love the car and the build!

Good to hear about both Astro and the MGW. The good thing about the LSX based engines is that if you are willing to start out with a Vortec iron block, you can get a whole setup for probably $1500. I didn't go that route this time but I probably will for the next project.
