Best Short Ram Intake for HP Gain

OK, so I know the 250 is not considered the best for mods and everyone wants to say trade up.... that's not a option here.... So my question is which intake is the best for the best gain... I've looked at the Joe-Z price wise great option and I've looked at the F-Sport as well... Any and all ideas welcomed....:D

Best bang for the buck is Joe z roughly 5hp. Fsport is about the same but pricier.

You will feel nothing, but you will notice a "roar" when you go above 3 rpm.

just search the performance section.. this topic is all over the place. I am sure one thread on club lexus will tell you which intake will suit you!

I am sure you meant no harm but there is no such thing as a cold air intake for the 2IS.

+1 for the Joe-Z! I can definitely feel the difference in sound and response. Love mine!

My understanding is you add an intake for sound, because there is little or no HP change (other than placebo effect).

in our case yes for sound. On say a V8 pony car, results could yield close to 20hp

the stock setup for the IS gets air from the outside of the car and not from the engine bay.

Not sure feeling more power is anything more than placebo (like the exhaust, etc). Your car gets fresh air from the factory intake and the filter looks like the kind you buy from K&N. Sucking "cool air" from inside the motor bay is certainly not going to equal more power. Even the intakes that dyno the difference are around 3-8hp, which I doubt you could feel.

I am certain the growl from the motor is better and THAT makes you feel like the car has more power (I have the F-Sport Exhaust and know it only sounds faster).

Enjoy your new intake :)

Dont know if im the only one but My car felt slower ever since i had my fujita intake installed, felt much better stock. Intake to me is just for sound on the 250 model......
