Assuming you keep all the original parts to put back?

The intake and exhaust are the same and easy enough to swap

springs will swap but obviously a decent bit more labor to move them over

sways are different AWD vs RWD, so this should be ok if you're getting an AWD350 but not so much if going to a RWD 350. (there's also some difference in mounting hardware between certain years/models, IIRC someone just posted a breakdown of this elsewhere recently)

either way i still have the time to use those parts coz im not trading anytime soon.i got a really good deal with is 250.actually i just traded my evo x for the IS last week.08 lexus is 250 awd----9k miles-----$30k with nav .and 3yrs warranty. im just happy to have it for now in terms of luxury feeling and quietness inside.but a big stepdown in term of power....huge difference to my evo.before my warranty expires i'll be trading it.but i kinda miss the quick spool for now. just patience for me i guess, the time will come to try n/a engines again.

Good deal. You made the right decision. I have an AWD 250 and I'm in germany. Trust me I get to 135mph on the autobahn just fine. When I got it in the states I don't even had it up to 80mph lol. I'm sure you will be ok.

Default It’s not only intake and exhaust!!!!

the supercharger ive seen on here seems like its still a mega mess and still in r/d? am i wrong

i just want more power and pickup then a 8.4sec 0-60.
to be honest man you gotta remember that a proper exhaust and intake with increase your horsepower by 25-40hp then you can follow up with a quick tune for the engine which will gat you all the way up to the 300hp range!! Then you can start with bigger injectors and eventually a turbo, I live up in Ontario and I see a lot of badass is250s AWD! So if that’s what you want than do it up

Hate it when people say “ just get the 350” smh there are decent performance mods, get Intake exhaust and Ppe headers I’ve done that and kept up in a race with a Volkswagen gti who’s supposed 0-60 is 6.0 secs. RR racing is developing a tune for our 250s that will add a decent amount of gains and a optional rev limiter to 7500 rpm too.

Good news for all 2IS250 owners. RR Racing has just released their ECU tune for the IS250 and it makes an impressive 22whp gain with no modifications done to the intake or exhaust. The net gains are even more impressive considering it's on a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine and is more than what RR Racing was able to achieve on their tune for the IS350.

Damn you beat me to it! Was gonna post this XD. I'm excited. I can probably imagine that the gains might fall to about 15 whp with the AWD drivetrain loss. Going to get this ASAP.

Will we have to ship in the ECU? I would like to know if my calibration ID is on file. It was my mistake not verifying first before purchasing from OVT.

You should be receiving a handheld unit which will allow you to download the new tune file remotely. To my knowledge, all current ECU tunes that are available are supported via the OBD handheld with exception of the 2017+ ECUs.

From my experience, when I received the OBD handheld unit two years after my initial ECU tune in order to download an updated tune file to remove the CEL codes from my header install, the tuning software wasn't initially able to retrieve my ECU's calibration ID. Not sure if it was because my IS was previously tuned via sending in the physical ECU to RR-Racing when there were no OBD handhelds available as an option. Whatever the cause was, the resolution was pretty simple as all I had to do was download the extracted log file from the device, send it to RR Racing for analysis and they were able to add my car's ID a day or so later.

So with the 2.5L engine, they could get +22whp and like +5~7 tq, but for the 3.5L it's +10-15 whp and wtq. I was hoping for +22 wtq as well

I tried that from OVT got their handheld, and months later they needed my ECU sent in. I just ended up selling my tuner to another member here.

Could be wrong here, but I'd also bet that a bolt-on + tuned GTI would smoke the 250 in any form.
Yeah I bet so as well. Mods to that platform do so much more. AWD gets us off the line for a second advantage then it's practically tail lights from 2nd gear if the GTI is anything like a Cooper S.

I actually think Lexus should have went with a 4 cylinder on the IS250 as it would have likely been faster. Higher revs with the same horsepower would be better IMO.

Dude, I feel your pain...I traded my Evo X MR for an IS250 F sport. Car looks cool, but thats it haha
