Hey guys, Im avi, im new to this!
I need help! I own a lexus is220d, and i have heard about chipping and remap!
as i want more BHP! but, i dont know what to do! some garages say the cant remap a lexus 2006,
I have found some chips! but i dont know what ones better! and someone said i need a 6 pin rather than 3? what does that mean?
Ya I really wouldn't waste your money on any of those... from what I've heard on pretty much every Lexus message board the ECU for our cars has yet to be cracked so unless you do some bolt ons (exhaust, headers, air intake, etc) you're not going to get much more bhp than stock.
Shoulda bought the BMW 335 if you want a quick chip fix.
hm, i guess i should just wait 6 months and purchase an ISF, maybe thats the best solution.! i really wanted to gear it up! i love fast cars, even though the is is fast, i wanted full power! haa! maybe im dreaming too much atm!
Diesel right? One would think there were a few things you could do to them to up the power. Chips being one of the more common ones. But then again maybe not.
yeah 220d, hm, but most say chips dont work. Im pretty confused. There has to be a way! either i buy a use ISF in about 6 months, or I buy an ISF engine and fit it to my car ( I dont think thats possible! ) I must admit, this is my first car, im a young driver! i love it

Don't believe the ebay hype. As everyone has mentioned previously, there has never been a chip upgrade or ecu remap for any Toyota/Lexus vehicle to date. Toyota ECUs are encrypted very well and no one has ever broken its code. There are many sources that have claimed they have but they never have produced real results. There are piggybacks out there....but those are bandaid solutions that don't work.
