I have used the stock GS MAF for over five years now. It is still in the car today and runs like a champ. If has been on the dyno many times and runs a little rich but still very consistent AFRs. This is a 1998-2000 MAF I have no experiance with the 2001+ maf on a GS only on the IS.
Ben
maybe the usdm one we had was faulty then for i could have sworn my wiring guy illustrated to me that they were different and drag international the engine importer told me the same thing when i was doing the swap
Hey guys....starting my swap SOON....my engine will be here tomorrow....
Quick question...where in the @#$@#$ do I order the jet pump killer from? I was gonna also order the Sard 265 fuel pump but cant find a supplier.....where did you buy yours?
Oh yeah....also.....if by some chance I don't get all the wires switched that are needed to switch....and I crank it over....will it cook something? Just want to be cautious.
Is it the kit that was made for the jzs161? if so how much? What was your experience with rhdjapan?
Yes it is the jzs161 kit and I'll pm u a price. Rhdjapan is awesome to deal with. No hassles or anything like that in my experience. The pump is currently on backorder till the end of next month according to their website.
Yeah let me know...I might just buy the JPK from them.....I'm getting the pre-bent fuel line from Lexus and then working from there on each end....it's cheap enough I figured I'd give it a shot.
Quick question for all you guys that have done the 2jz vvti conversion have yous had any trouble with certain things not work Eg. dual zone climate control ,abs, ect ect
Also, your fuel gauge won't be accurate, it will show Full to 3/4 all the time, until you're almost empty, then it will show at 1/4 to empty.
Everything else works.
So does everyone with a swap have the problem with the fuel gauge? I thought I was the only one and thought i had a faulty sending unit. If this is a common issue I will start looking in to a solution.
