GS Lag After Installing Weapon*R Intake
Need all your help guys! Is there something I need to do after installing the Weapon*R intake? The reason I ask is because the car lag when I floor it. When I'm between 2500-3000rpm and floor it, the car still lag until it hit close to 4000rpm. Then it really pick up. Any advice in improving the performance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
yah for some reason the GS does that, if you dont have a chip in the car your gonna lose some bottom end preformnce, at least that was the case when I had the RMM intake on my GS400, but when I got the SRT intake/ECU I dont have that problem anymore. Have you reset your ECU by any chance, if not try that and see if it helps any

no unfortunalty SRT does not sell there ECU alone because it was designed to work with there intake only, but you could get a weapon R ECU or you can get a A-SFC instead and that should help the problem

From what the techs told me, the "map" is only meant for the stock instake system and aftermarkets will definitely disturb the balance. About the only thing you could really do without the pinging (you need the hood up to hear it) is to install a panel filter only.
My experience of course.
