Default Engine Swap or Turbo Add-On

My 2001 GS 300 has about 112,000 Miles and before I get rid of it I would like to drop a Turbo in it (love the Blow Off Sound).

So - would it be better to go with a 2JZ-GTE engine swap or add a turbo to the existing engine? I'd be happy with 300 - 350HP

Thanks -
Ron

get a bolt on, like the xs power kit.. or daveh kit.. That's not alot of horse power u are trying to get.. A 2jz gte swap will run u alot of money.. especially if u can't do the swap yourself... Take care..

NA-T is the term we use to classify an engine that was once naturally aspirated, but then is turbocharged. Unlike a factory forced induction engine, like the 2JZGTE, the GE needs a few things to be forced inducted. Visit http://forum.clubna-t.com/ and you will find out more information then you will ever want to know. Also, JeffTsai did an awesome write-up on his builds, and other people asking him questions, he basically breaks down the whole process and item list in order to turbo charge your 2JZGE. Making your GE into NA-T will be far cheaper than a GTE swap, and that's even if your labor is free.
