I took a chance on one for my GS.
Material and welds looked great but it did not fit well enough to work.
Too bad it sounded like the Tanabe

I sent it back.

Search in the GS forum and it may still be a post.
I would pass and go with Tanabe well worth it.

I have it....sounds amazing paired with the invidia mid pipe. Although it was a PAIN IN THE *** to install. It didnt line up corrrectly, didnt match the invidia design for gaskets. I used the tried and true method of bending(beating) the hangars until it was just right. Looks pretty damn pro now. PS... use a mapp gas torch to make the steel more malleable.

was it worth it? ehhh sure if you dont mind getting your hands dirty.

btw...do an offer of like 275. I got mine for that + 75 shipping = 350 total.

not bad for the look and sound of tanabe.

I got my used tanabe for $400... I dunno that it's worth saving 50 bucks to have to whack and hack on the thing to make it fit

yeah...it was worth it to me. I mean, I looked for weeks and weeks for a used tanabe that wasnt 600 bucks. just didnt happen.

And....I gotta say that the welds and material are very good looking. It looks to be hand made by a professional welder. I know welds, I used to be a pipe fitter assistant.

axles backs, cat backs, same thing really. both don't replace the cats. the only difference is replacing the resonators. So technically they arn't exactly false advertising by calling it catback. I was reading something on NASIOC a long time ago

Watch out.

Some may recognize me from the S&S headers threads for the GS4xx.

Ordered a TS 2.5" straight through resonator. While it looks very nice internally it has big problems. The 2.5" ends neck down inside to 2.125" which not only reduces flow it creates sharp edges internally. This is NOT a performance part. My guess is all their mufflers and resonators use this type of construction. Again, the parts look pretty but are NOT engineered correctly for performance.

I cant say much about that, however, my 1/4 mile dropped from a 13.47 to 13.29 after installation

it was the only thing different...I made sure all variables were the same.
