Default Hks or tanabe??

I have a 2006 IS-350 and am thinking about getting an exhaust system. Im deciding between these two.

--Lexus IS350 HI-Power Exhaust System HPx2 Design Tip 115mm Tip Dia. / 60mm Pipe Dia.
(HKS: 32003-BT002)

--Tanabe Medalion Touring Exhaust 2006+ Lexus IS250/IS350 - P/N: T70113A

anyone have some inside info or advice for me and pros and cons about either?
thanks a lot, matt.

Well the HKS is definitely louder, while the Tanabe is the quieter of the two.

HKS is much louder than tanabe inside and outside.
I just can't stand the HKS's droning sound on the freeway,
but HKS with silencers sounds really good!
In my opinion, i think HKS with silencers sounds better than Tanabe.

From the looking way, the HKS's tips are bigger than tanabe's
wish they are smaller.

Go with HKS with a silencer or F Sport Exhuast. Im not a big fan of the tanabe. Its a bit quiet for my taste.

the hi-power system is the loudest axleback system, hands down. it's also very visually obvious (two stainless steel canisters for mufflers + large diameter tips). if you're looking for a no-compromise axleback system, the hi-power system is it.

the tanabe looks and sounds more subdued, but it's not bad at all. just something different.

I considered those 2 plus F-Sport way back
1. Did not like the round big muffler
HKS was out
2. Liked the vertical shape of the tips
Tanabe was out
So F-Sport it was.

HKS hands down... although I may be a bit biased... It sounds great, and I like the meaty tips. Can't go wrong with either one however...

I have always liked the HKS system myself, but it is defintiely a bold exhaust. You know it's there and so does everyone else haha. I run one on my personal car.

We do have the HKS on sale if anyone is interested, just PM us

HKS shouts "Look at me!", which I like (I love my HKS!). Tanabe looks understated and sounds discrete, if you like that sort of thing.

the HKS hi power just looks sexy on our cars, its not like on other cars where u can see the whole can hanging out, which would look bad. its halfway hiding behind the bumper like a tease, i love it definately noticable though. the drone isn't that bad.....
