Installing invidia mid pipes as we speak> need help

you should get that O2 sensor tool to remove it...or if you really want cut that shiz off

cjlazar84 12-02-09 03:49 PM

O2 sensor tool... where do i get that? SEERS? Ill just cut it if its easier... im tossing the stock pipes.

aliu603 12-02-09 03:51 PM

yea youre tossing the stock pipes but you're not tossing your O2 sensor O.o just buy the tool, no idea where though

Go pick up the 02 sensor tool. It's just a special socket, they have them at most any auto parts store for less tan $10

06isDriver 12-02-09 04:08 PM

Autozone has the o2 sensor wrench for $27. AND....you'll get your money back when you return it.

I also had a problem with those little shields, I had to use some tin snips to CAREFULLY snip the shields away. The o2 wrench was just TOO big to fit.

Also...why the hell dont the o2 sensors unplug? WTF? it would just require a simple connection that unplugs directly at the sensor. Instead you have to twist the wire the opposite direction you need to rotate the plug so that when you finish it wont be in a bind. It's ridiculous.

go to autozone or equivalent, and rent one for an IS

cjlazar84 12-02-09 04:48 PM

just about done. Picked up a O2 sensor tool and it makes a world of difference. The only other thing i can say is have a friend there to help. It is heavy and hurts. Taking picks of everything and will work on getting them on here. back to work for now cant wait to play will it....

youll love em, do you have stock muffs?

SeOuLiS250 12-02-09 05:27 PM

good luck
midpipe is a good upgrade
took me and my friend 20 min to do it..on the jack..
it's pretty much direct replacement~!

don't get disappointed when you first turn on your car,,,
the true sound of the midpipe will come as you drive..it needs its break-in period LOL

aliu603 12-02-09 05:41 PM

^ that's definitely true, i was disappointed (still kinda am until i get my wald anyways) when i first installed it with the resonators removed. it sounded WAYYYY too raspy with the stock exhaust and it seriously made it sound like a civic lol. i just didn't rev it as high or gas it as much so i wouldn't have to hear it, but the sound definitely got better as i put miles on it.

cjlazar84 12-02-09 05:48 PM

All done. Took an hour. not on a jack. No casualties to speak of. Accidently slipped and socked myself in the eye. No pain no game. Love the sound. post a link in a few hours.

THanks everyone for the help.

Much love.

Lazar
