2002 GS300 Won't Start After Installing Weapon*R Intake
Help everyone! After I installed Weapon*R intake, my car won't start. I checked all the connection and everything is connected where they're suppose to be. I even disconnected the battery to reset the computer system and the car still won't start. Of course, I reconnected the battery. The car start up fine after I reinstall the factory intake. Any advice would be appreciated.

did you install the MAF backwards? turn it around and try again.
|
Yeah, that's the mistake that most people would have. :) Did it fix your problem?
|
Thanks guys! The car starts now. This morning when I start up the GS stalled. It seem like it didn't get enough air. The engine was choking, shaking and then stall. Do I have to adjust anything? If so, what?
The GS lag between 700-1500rpm. It seem like it doesn't want to move. Any advice is appreciated. |
make sure the vaccum lines are hooked up right, and then re-reset the ECU and if it still happens re-post.
|
I rechecked the vaccum hoses and it's connected correctly. I did reset the ECU. It's still lag.
|
How about giving WR Tech department a call? :)

one of three things:
<> everything not sealed tight... ( rubber gasket inbetween intake and sensor) <> ECU reset for 20-30 mins then drive for 5-10 mins... it should be ok after that. <> something wrong with the speed sensor ( dunno what though ... when i had this issue ... thats what the problem was .... thats what the lexus shop said @ least) |
It could be the wrong pipe...I got a bad one and had to send it in....is the air diffusser on the side closest the throttle body or the filter?
|
Thank you everyone for your advice. The sensor holes was welding backward and the MAF sensor was linking air. I'm sending it to Weapon*R and they'll send me another pipe. Once again thank you for all of your advice.

Is that correct? The reason I ask is because I don't know much about cars. I just drive them. |
disconnect the negitive
