Open question to the forum. I have a J&S knock sensor on my car and it is s/c....my question is do I need it. It is causing problems with ignition and misfires....I know the car has a factory sensor that controls the cylinders so do I need it????
As you know I'm probably the only one that posts about the SC like you. And from what I'm going through, I don't think you need that. IMO, I think all we need is the meth kit. The stock ECU is very smart, so I don't think we need anything but good gas and methanol
so you do not have one??.........if you don't the f-ing thing is coming off....I am getting brain damage by half assed work done on this car......I think this is the last problem....well for now!!!!!.....lol
Its more of a shot from what I know. I'm going to run it where it comes on when in boost, so it doesn't just spray all the time, that would be useless LOL
ok it is off...the car threw a bunch of codes when it first started up...but they are all reset now.....so if anyone is in need of a knock senor....well.....I have just what you need!!!! now I just need a passeger seat belt...and I am done....
Yeah I noticed. I'm sure since you have that knock sensor off now, the car is going to run a little differently for a few days. I know on my car it took a week or so then it learned a new fuel curve. It was funny cause at first it felt almost stock haha
