Exclamation Supercharger for IS & GS 300 from TRD

Hello Fellow GS IS and Lexus fans,
I have just talked with TRD and they have informed me that rumors are true that TRD is testing a supercharger for the IS and the GS. The IS supercharger is a go but they are wondering if a GS supercharger would sell well. I have a 2001 GS 300 and I want the Supercharger, said to add about 80 hp and be watercooled. The kit will run, I'm guessing around $4000 to $5000. Alot less then the difference from the GS 300 to 430. I got my GS 300 becuse of the e-shift and want to keep it. I just want to know if anybody else would buy or want to buy a TRD supercharger kit for the GS 300. In return, if we come togther maybe we can get TRD to make the kit and we all will have 80 more hp and our warranty will still be in place.
Let me know, please email me at cykim@juno.com.

If TRD offers the SC kit for 430 (assuming an increase of 100hp) and the price is reasonable, I'm there. By the way, does the SC kit includes a readjusted ECU? Please add me to your list, RacingAristo@clublexus.com, for more information.

Steve, could you check the TRD SC kit for us? I'm sure we could gather enough people to do a groupbuy.

I have a 98 GS3 and a bit more HP would be nice. Will there be a torque increase also? I definitely would like to stay in the loop about this.

As Manaray said in other thread, Lexus has been well... ignored the GS430 lately. Not sure when we will see the SC for GS300/400/430 from TRD.

Guys..............don't hold your breath on this one, they do have them on some test vehicles. Only problem is because they are using an intercooler the price is looking at $5500.00..........They think this is to high of a price for an S/C, unless they can bring it down don't count on it,it's not a priority I guess.

I want one as well for my SC300.......so I'm watching very closely as well, even if they started making them it wont be out for 12-18 months.....testing, CARB certified..........

Maybe another Major manufacturer will come out with an S/C for the GS4 series, this will happen before TRD comes out with one!!

Hey Steve!

Out of curiosity... Do you know if the blower is centrifugal or a roots-type?
