I thought most people get their Intake for sound
you don't really gain anything from aftermarket Intake
I mean, you can't really feel the performance gain when you drive

I wouldn't say that it's a weaksauce
it's definitely louder than the Stock, and some people just dont like being
too loud like us

My last car made almost 2x the power of the IS350 and set off car alarms at idle.

I got this car to NOT be offensively loud.

I got the F-sport intake because with the MS Cashback it was nearly the same price as the Joe Z plus a reusable filter... and it's the ONLY mod you do to the car that adds any hp at all below the insane $100 per hp level that exhausts offer.

Weak compared to what? It's not like you're going to get much performance impact from an air intake.

If you're in CA you have no choice but F-sport with CARB sticker. I wonder how many people didn't know that and got JoeZ, down the line you're screwed.

Screwed in what way???

I have had my intake on for 5 years in my IS300 and 1.5 years in my IS350..

I live in Cali and never been screwed..

FYI, the stock intake pipe can be swapped back in under 5 mins. in the event you are getting a smog test done and there is a visual issue.

Generally speaking for the 2IS, if your buying a loud(er) intake, you're more than likely losing overall performance..
