Has anyone heard the 07 IS350 with Kinney's muffler exhaust cat back. They now own the car and have a system avail. They use magnaflow mufflers and it sounds exotic, not loud and no drone they say.Heard it on forum, sounds and looks great, a true dual exhaust, no Y pipe. DON

Yes the mid pipe will give you gains. I compared the megan midpipe to my custom mid pipe (secondary cats removed) and with it's slightly larger tube diameter and smoother bends it picked up a small bit of power and great sound.

To those of you with Lexus HKS exhaust and megan mid pipe,

Did the mid pipe decrease droning? And on a scale of 1-10, how much louder did it make your exhaust?

Where did you buy megan mid pipe? I had replace OEM cat back Exhaust with Fujitsubo. So, will megan mid pipe properly work with Fujitsubo?

I believe that the megan midpipe decreases droning
it decreased the droning when I had Tanabe Exhaust
so,,it should decrease on LExus HKS, right?

and it makes your exhaust louder for sure..it's hard to describe it on a scale of 1-10 tho

Since I have it installed, I love it. I would say a little drone is taken away, however, you get a lot more bass-tone and you also get a sustained sound all the way through the power band. If you listen, you'll notice your exhaust kinda dies after 2800RPM. What the mid pipe will do in addition to more bass, will give you a more sustained exhaust tone all the way through the RPM meter.

It is definitely louder. I don't think it's annoying, but DEFINITELY louder.

hm..it is really hard to describe how it sounds like in words..even the sounds that you hear from youtube is different when you hear it in person..and everybody has different ways of defining the "deeper rumble", "too loud", etc..

let me try this..for me..if you put this into a scale of 1-10
then Stock was at 1.5
Then Tanabe Exhaust put me at 3.5
then I added Megan Midpipe, which put me at 5.5

but it definitely got deeper at LOW RPM..it gives you deeper rumble
and at High RPM, it's really hard to tell because I have Injen, which I really love

hope this helps..
BTW, I notice that the droning that I was getting from Tanabe went away as soon as
I put the megan midpipe..which was a huge plus for me~!

but I really recommend you all to hear it in person!!
