To get the most out of the SRT, you need the ECU. I would venture to guess that it's actually going to HINDER performance if you just do the intake pipe and filter. If you don't want to do anything with the ECU, I would suggest the K&N unit, but then I would also suggest the Apexi SAFC to get the Air/Fuel mixture right...

you need to use the ECU supplied by SRT. their intake is much to large. if you dont want to hack up your lines get a wire harness so you can hack that one up and when your ready to take it off you can just pull off the harness.

Please share where you got the harness from and what part number it has. TIA.

Did you double check the wiring? Did you check the maf sensor, that it was installed correctly and not backwords, or loose, etc?

Did you reset the ecu? (disconnect the battery cable during the install) and mine always acts like that for a couple days (gets better and better) whenever I reset the ecu...so put the intake back on..let it idle for 5-10 min and then take it for a 10 min drive...it should be acting better then.

I just reset it when I go from stock to CAI. Have you tried putting it back on and give drive it around awhile, and slow..and yes it will act like its drunk for the first 5-10 min of driving..and it takes 1-2 days of driving for it to sober up..lol
