Default Quotes for Work

Are they reasonable? I wanted to do some DIY installs but my mom got diagnosed with cancer and now I need to have a shop do it. Here is what they are quoting me for HRs:

All hours are taken directly from the Chilton labor rate manual

1. Swap out exhaust headers (8.5HRS)
2. Swap out torque convertor (6.8HRS)

Thanks!!

Both sound reasonable for a mechanic's first time.

The headers should take around 4-5 hours though. I think the manual states that you have to remove the engine in order to get to the exhaust. I dont remember but you shouldn't have to do anymore more than just lifting up the engine a few inches.
